Health, Safety, Security & Environment Professional

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist JLL's Canadian operations in achieving Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across property management teams.

• Recognize, eliminate, and manage hazardous conditions by utilizing HSE standards, best management practices, and analytical methodologies.

• Document, oversee, and report on accidents, injuries, environmental incidents, near misses, Good Catches, and other significant events.

• Lead or assist in HSE investigations, analyze root causes, monitor corrective actions, and disseminate lessons learned.

• Aid in the proactive return-to-work program and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Implement environmental and health and safety program rollouts, which include on-site support, audits, and inspections.

• Assist sites in meeting and surpassing regulatory obligations.

• Develop and manage documentation and records related to the HSE management system.

• Facilitate the deployment and tracking of employee training requirements.

• Engage in the onboarding process for new properties and team members, implementing HSE requirements during transitions.

• Review and analyze data from multiple sources, preparing status reports and presentations.

• Conduct gap analyses and audits, identify areas for improvement, and ensure resolution of non-compliances.

• Collaborate with HSSEQ Americas and Global teams to implement compliance and best-practice programs.

• Support Operations and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) teams with relevant programs and building certifications like BOMA Best.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience.

• Familiarity with environmental, safety, and occupational health regulations throughout Canada.

• Proven experience in managing and mitigating HSE risks related to operational activities.

• A rigorous, structured, and analytical approach to problem-solving.

• Capability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Proficient in extracting and clearly conveying key messages to peers and operations teams.

• Strong creative problem-solving abilities, global perspective, and the capacity to apply intelligent flexibility with practical solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is preferred.

• Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
