This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.
• Assist students in their preparation for studying abroad, which includes providing pre-arrival guidance and facilitating insurance enrollment.
• Assess and evaluate pre-arrival health information, address routine inquiries, and escalate issues to Managers when necessary.
• Aid in managing enrollment for the Emergency Response communication system and health insurance services.
• Support case management concerning health, safety, and security incidents, ensuring compliance with on-site participant requirements.
• Contribute to crisis preparation and response efforts, including emergency phone coverage and internal coordination.
• Keep track of global news, U.S. and foreign governmental reports, and other resources to stay informed about developments in program regions.
• Assist in the collection, analysis, and sharing of health and safety data and information.
• Familiarize with, provide training on, and help ensure adherence to legal regulations such as FERPA, HIPAA, ADA, Title IX, and the Clery Act.
• Coordinate with external experts in areas including security, mental health, emergency response, medical care, and insurance.
• Organize and schedule departmental training sessions and global onboarding programs.
• Help bridge cultural gaps between international and U.S. perspectives.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English at CEFR B2 level or higher.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in fields such as international/cross-cultural communication, international studies, public health, health administration, higher education, student affairs, psychology, sociology, or a related discipline.
• Capacity to work independently, demonstrate initiative, solve problems, and organize oneself effectively.
• Experience in working and communicating with individuals facing medical or mental health challenges in an educational context.
• Strong intercultural communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate with diverse communities and stakeholders.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Capability to present information clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency with technology tools, including Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, Microsoft Office suite, and various social media platforms.
• Legal authorization to work and reside in Peru.
• Flexibility to work with global teams across multiple time zones, including the potential for early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends during critical incidents or crises.
