Health Physicist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Provide support for radiation protection across all Westinghouse operations and corporate divisions.

• Collaborate with facility EHS professionals and Site Leadership teams at over 50 locations across 19 countries and 5 continents.

• Engage with international regulatory agencies.

• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations concerning radiation protection.

• Deliver program leadership and specialized knowledge in radiological protection, as well as in the control and monitoring of occupational and public dose.

• Develop and disseminate standardized radiological safety metrics, which include tracking radiological dose and contamination incidents.

• Assist in the formulation of global radiation protection initiatives.

• Supervise and uphold radiation protection protocols.

• Aid in the Radiation Protection Audit processes, evaluating compliance, identifying shortcomings, and addressing gaps with business units.

• Provide assistance to business units and facilities facing radiological protection issues.

• Drive compliance with international radiological safety standards, operating license stipulations, and applicable legal requirements.

• Contribute to the radiation protection communication strategy.

• Report directly to the Senior Program Manager, Global Radiation Protection.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 4 years of experience in radiation protection and health physics.

• Preference given to candidates with degrees in Health Physics, Radiological Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering.

• Preferred certifications include CHP, NRRPT, CNP, RPA, or similar credentials.

• Candidates must satisfy relevant United States and comparable foreign export control regulations.
