This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Efficiently and accurately process all requests for information releases, particularly medical record requests.
• Respond to calls from patients, insurance providers, and attorneys to update them on the status of medical records.
• Receive and handle requests for patient health information in accordance with Company and Facility guidelines.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
• Maintain a strong understanding of Company and facility software systems.
• Follow Company and customer facility codes of conduct and policies diligently.
• Keep the manager informed about work progress, site challenges, and variable workloads.
• Manage patient health records and protect patient information in line with HIPAA regulations.
• Create new patient charts utilizing both paper sources and electronic health records.
• Organize medical records in a standard format while ensuring their accuracy and completeness.
• Generate digital images of paperwork for storage within electronic medical records.
• Retrieve and properly send patient records to both internal and external requestors.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls.
• Support patient walk-ins and perform administrative tasks such as faxing, mailing, and data entry.
• Meet productivity standards specific to the site.
• Schedule pickups when necessary.
• Execute other assigned tasks as required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to travel between locations as necessary.
• Willingness to work overtime during peak periods when needed.
• Basic proficiency in computer usage.
• Comfortable using phones, fax machines, printers, and other standard office equipment regularly.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Detail-oriented and focused on maintaining accurate and compliant medical record information.
• Strong skills in data entry.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision while adapting to shifting priorities and role requirements.
• Ability to organize and juggle multiple tasks effectively.
• Quick to respond to requests in a dynamic environment.
