Health Coach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct both inbound and outbound engagement calls to inform eligible participants about the program and facilitate their enrollment.

• Offer personalized behavior-change coaching aimed at reducing or eliminating high-risk behaviors while promoting healthier habits.

• Execute outbound follow-up calls to enrolled members who do not have a scheduled call.

• Coordinate services and care with nurses, pharmacists, and external vendors.

• Support operational requirements within assigned customer areas.

• Maintain schedules and caseloads to enhance member connectivity.

• Operate within 1:1 or team-based caseload models based on business needs.

• Engage in daily and monthly meetings, presenting findings and insights.

• Monitor member progress and assess program effectiveness.

• Act as a positive change agent, assisting members in improving their health and wellness.

• Utilize an automated dialer while adhering to established workflows and documentation standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a health-related field is required (e.g., Psychology, Nutrition, Exercise Science).

• In certain cases, NBHWC certification may substitute for the health-related portion of the completed 4-year degree.

• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience is required.

• Experience in customer service is preferred.

• Familiarity with benchmarks and contact center metrics is preferred, including schedule adherence.

• Proficiency in computer data entry and Microsoft Office is necessary.

• Ability to coordinate telephonic communication while navigating software and entering data for extended periods.

• Desirable knowledge of lifestyle-related topics such as smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and sleep.

• Capability to work independently and prioritize a moderate workload with minimal supervision.

• Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes.

• Strong multitasking ability with members, managers, and support staff.

• Availability to work any shift between 10:30am and 9:00pm CST, including rotating Saturdays.

• A hard-wired internet connection is required; Wi-Fi is not allowed.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Willingness to learn motivational interviewing techniques.

• NBC-HWC or CHES certification qualifies for a higher hourly rate.
