This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Take ownership and oversee the execution of implementation projects for both new and existing self-funded health benefit clients from the initial kickoff to the go-live phase.
• Create, manage, and sustain comprehensive implementation project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and tracking documentation.
• Conduct implementation kickoff meetings, status meetings, and other discussions with client leadership, brokers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Collect, document, and verify client requirements associated with benefit plan configuration and implementation.
• Facilitate implementation activities among internal operational teams and external partners to guarantee precise and timely delivery.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, delays, and implementation challenges and proactively work towards resolution.
• Handle multiple implementations and competing deadlines while ensuring clear ownership of deliverables and follow-up tasks.
• Clearly communicate project status, risks, decisions, and next steps to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate implementation requirements concerning self-funded medical plans and associated benefit services such as claims administration, eligibility, HSAs, FSAs, COBRA, and other relevant services.
• Foster strong working relationships with clients, brokers, vendors, and cross-functional internal teams.
• Keep precise implementation documentation and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of implementation processes, templates, and standards.
• Execute other related responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in health insurance, TPA, or employee benefits implementation.
• Proven experience in implementing or supporting self-funded employer health benefit plans.
• Background in managing implementation projects that involve multiple internal departments, external partners, and client stakeholders.
• Excellent project management and coordination skills, with experience in creating and managing project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Demonstrated capability in leading client-facing implementation meetings, kickoff meetings, and stakeholder discussions.
• Familiarity with the self-funded benefits/TPA landscape, including claims administration, eligibility, plan configuration, HSAs, FSAs, and COBRA.
• Ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects and priorities while adhering to established deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with client management and internal leadership.
• Robust problem-solving skills, with the ability to pinpoint implementation risks and drive issues towards resolution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn web-based implementation/project management systems.
• An Associate’s degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% during peak implementation periods.
