This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +41 more states.
β’ Assist in conducting financial analysis, pricing strategies, and risk assessments to forecast outcomes.
β’ Facilitate business decision-making by performing actuarial analyses, evaluating healthcare cost trends, and identifying potential savings opportunities across various healthcare data sources.
β’ Integrate eligibility, revenue, claims, provider, and other healthcare data sources to pinpoint and quantify savings opportunities.
β’ Present findings and recommendations to project leadership and key stakeholders.
β’ Manage large relational datasets and varying levels of data granularity to compile and prepare essential input data.
β’ Construct actuarial models featuring clear, adaptable assumption inputs and summarized outputs.
β’ Utilize mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business principles to determine financial outcomes.
β’ Aid in developing probability tables based on statistical analysis and relevant information.
β’ Analyze and assess necessary premium rates.
β’ Evaluate cash reserves and liabilities for forthcoming benefit payments.
β’ Create and execute data reports.
β’ Assist in establishing a fair basis for distributing insurance benefit funds.
β’ Engage in merger and acquisition analyses.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ Adhere to all policies and standards.
β’ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
β’ A combination of years of experience and the number of actuarial exams passed must equal or exceed 5 (Rule of 5).
β’ Actuarial experience is required.
β’ Proven progress towards obtaining an actuarial credential through the successful completion of actuarial exams.
β’ Experience in healthcare analytics is essential.
β’ Familiarity with cost trend analysis is required.
β’ Experience with medical claims analysis is necessary.
β’ Proficiency in working with large relational datasets.
β’ Capability to navigate varying levels of data granularity.
β’ Experience in developing actuarial models with clear, flexible assumptions and summarized outputs.
β’ Knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, finance principles, and business concepts.
β’ Ability to convey findings to project management, team leaders, and executive stakeholders.
β’ Compliance with all policies and standards is mandatory.
