This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.
• Establish and nurture relationships with clients and senior leadership.
• Lead large-scale, cross-disciplinary projects for clients in the health sector.
• Deliver presentations of results to clients and address their inquiries.
• Cultivate a prosperous client portfolio through networking, writing articles, public speaking, and various marketing strategies.
• Recognize client challenges and determine the resources necessary for resolution.
• Organize projects, outline deliverables, adhere to deadlines, and maintain compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with consultants, managers, and analysts to produce client reports and outcomes.
• Assess and review analyses for effective client communication and downstream effects.
• Provide mentorship to staff members.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
• FSA designation from the Society of Actuaries (SOA).
• Over 7 years of experience in health actuarial roles or similar positions within a consulting firm or health insurance organization.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Medicaid managed care within the last three years.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and solid understanding of actuarial principles.
• Proven experience in project management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong analytical skills to assess analyses for client communication and downstream implications.
• Familiarity with managed Medicaid programs, ideally in developing managed Medicaid capitation rates for state agencies.
• Experience in mentoring team members.
• Capacity to fulfill project deliverables, meet deadlines, and uphold quality standards.
• Exceptional time management capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Client-centered and results-driven approach.
• Self-motivated, innovative, and resourceful individual.
