This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +3 more states.
β’ Deliver onsite and virtual consultations to Head Start and Early Head Start recipients, governing bodies, directors, and program managers.
β’ Offer individualized and group training and technical assistance, both onsite and virtually, focusing on governance, program management, and fiscal operations.
β’ Assist in rectifying areas of noncompliance and deficiencies identified through the federal monitoring process.
β’ Create and execute Quality Improvement Plans that address the root causes of noncompliance and deficiencies.
β’ Enhance program oversight and management in areas highlighted through Regional Office oversight processes.
β’ Maintain consistent communication with Regional Office staff regarding the delivery of technical assistance and the progress of corrective actions or quality improvements.
β’ Coordinate technical assistance with Early Childhood, Family Engagement, Health, and System Specialists.
β’ Develop and conduct presentations and training sessions on program management and fiscal operations.
β’ Support emerging initiatives and priorities set by the Office of Head Start.
β’ Travel to regional states, Washington, DC, and other necessary locations.
β’ A minimum of a BA or BS Degree from an accredited university or college.
β’ Over 5 years of experience related to program and/or organizational management and/or fiscal operations within HS/EHS programs, along with the development and implementation of comprehensive management systems.
β’ At least 1 year of experience aiding recipients in enhancing their effectiveness and the quality of program operations and management systems.
β’ A minimum of 1 year of experience providing technical assistance that involves working with governing bodies, management teams, and program staff.
β’ At least 1 year of experience helping organizations to resolve compliance issues.
β’ A minimum of 1 year of experience in communicating, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
β’ At least 1 year of experience with operating computer software systems and possessing technology skills with virtual platforms.
β’ Must possess a valid driver's license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
β’ Fiscal expertise in budgeting, managing multiple funding sources, applicable uniform guidance regulations, Head Start-specific audits, and understanding the fiscal role of the governing body.
