This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Act as the leading authority on products and solutions for the APAC region.
• Develop and refine product strategy and roadmap priorities.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration to align local market demands with Caseware's global product vision.
• Oversee product managers and product owners within the APAC region.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, performance evaluations, goal setting, and development opportunities.
• Enhance in-region capabilities and reinforce local ownership of the roadmap.
• Take responsibility for the regional product roadmap, business cases, and resource allocation decisions.
• Define and prioritize development efforts based on business needs and customer impact.
• Serve as the primary internal product subject matter expert and escalation point for complex product requirements.
• Assist in development planning and backlog prioritization.
• Create and refine user stories and participate in backlog grooming.
• Maintain connections with global Solution Leads, Product Managers/Owners, and distributors.
• Advocate for APAC customer stories, requirements, and roadmap priorities in global planning sessions.
• Engage with customers through interviews and feedback channels to identify challenges and articulate market issues.
• Stay informed about developments in the accounting and audit industry, local compliance standards, and emerging practice challenges.
• Manage relationships with APAC subject matter experts, standard-setting bodies, and member organizations, including CA ANZ, CPA, AUASB, AASB, ISCA, and HKICA.
• Facilitate timely information dissemination and ensure Caseware's involvement in relevant publications and technology discussions.
• Over 10 years of experience in product management or related solutions roles.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role, responsible for an end-to-end roadmap and leading product teams across various markets.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the audit and accounting profession, either directly or collaboratively.
• Strong knowledge of audit and accounting practices.
• At least 3 years’ experience working within APAC markets.
• Understanding of local regulatory and compliance frameworks across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.
• Demonstrated ability to develop business cases, assess resource trade-offs, and prioritize development activities based on customer and commercial impact.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder management and communication.
• Proven history of influencing product, engineering, and distributor counterparts internationally without direct authority.
• Experience conducting client interviews and feedback programs, translating insights into clearly defined market issues and user stories.
• A minimum of 3 years of direct people management experience, coaching, and developing product managers and product owners.
• Familiarity with contemporary product frameworks and agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience in backlog grooming, user story creation, and prioritization at scale.
