Head of Quantitative Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee the quantitative trading function encompassing in-play and pre-match pricing, risk and liability modeling, and trading automation.

• Take responsibility for the models that support bet builder, same-game pricing, cash-out valuation, personalization, and market availability.

• Establish the automation sequence in collaboration with the VP R&D Trading and the Chief Trading Officer.

• Identify the markets, sports, and processes to prioritize for automation, along with the evidence needed at each stage.

• Ensure model quality aligns with standards for margin, hold, price accuracy, and market availability.

• Collaborate with R&D trading teams and the AI core to implement models and enhance the data platform.

• Redefine the role of the human trader to focus on model oversight and exception management.

• Build the quantitative trading capability and develop the team.

• Transition models from research to live production and assess their commercial impact.

• Influence the future operational framework for automated pricing, risk management, and human trading.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in creating or managing automated pricing and risk models at scale.

• Strong preference for candidates with experience in sportsbook or high-frequency trading models.

• Extensive quantitative knowledge in statistics, machine learning, and stochastic modeling.

• Proficient hands-on modeling skills.

• Experience in advancing pricing models from research to live production environments.

• Familiarity with the operational and cultural transformations necessary for model-driven trading.

• A meticulous approach to measurement and the ability to validate model performance prior to production deployment.

• An AI-first mindset, leveraging AI tools across modeling, research, and development.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with traders, quantitative experts, and engineers.
