This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Responsible for the ongoing development, prioritization, and coherence of the program portfolio as part of the leadership team in collaboration with management and the board.
• Annual and multi-year planning for program and network activities, including prioritization, resources, and impact objectives.
• Assessment of political, societal, and funding strategy developments and translating them into concrete program and network decisions.
• Development and governance of the network strategy with a focus on politics, foundations, associations, funders, and strategic key players.
• Establishment, maintenance, and deepening of sustainable alliances for civic climate protection.
• Identification, prioritization, and acquisition of sponsors, along with leading contributions to funding applications, concepts, and financing strategies.
• Professional management of program and network activities, collaborating with research, communication, the Chief of Staff, and management.
• Quality assurance of strategic conclusions, project approaches, and partner collaborations.
• Representation of Heimatwurzeln at key appointments, conferences, events, and strategic partner meetings.
• Mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team of approximately 8 colleagues across Public Affairs & Politics, Partnerships & Cooperation, Research & Impact, Media & Communications, and Capacity Building.
• Promote collaboration, high performance, and strategic alignment within the organization.
• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in fields such as association work, public affairs, project management, administration/politics, consulting, or similar.
• Proven experience in interacting with high-level decision-makers.
• Experience in organizational development and network building, including coordination of diverse partners and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of the political landscape in Germany, particularly within civic-conservative circles.
• Exceptional communication skills and confident presence in political, civil society, and institutional contexts.
• Analytical and forward-thinking mindset.
• Strong general education and professional handling of various perspectives.
• High level of personal responsibility and proactive, forward-looking, and reliable work ethic with a builder mindset.
• Team player who enjoys a mix of remote office work, on-site projects, and national appointments.
• Proficient in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel frequently for work.
