This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of Program Managers.
• Define the team structure, roles, and career development paths as the PMO expands.
• Establish and standardize methodologies, tools, and governance for program management.
• Oversee the execution of strategic initiatives and customer programs, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
• Maintain a portfolio-level perspective of ongoing strategic programs while identifying risks, resource limitations, and interdependencies.
• Drive stage-gate reviews, milestone tracking, risk management, and executive reporting.
• Ensure adherence to change management processes related to scope, schedule, and cost deviations.
• Integrate R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, and Supply Chain throughout design, production, and delivery processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering/R&D on new product introductions and custom engineered-to-order programs for switchgear, switchboards, e-houses, and skidded packages.
• Align program timelines with production capacities, material lead times, and logistical constraints.
• Guarantee compliance with regulatory, code, and customer specification requirements.
• Represent program management to key customers and lead or assist in customer reviews, kickoffs, and escalations.
• Collaborate with Sales and Business Development on proposals, program scoping, and contract execution.
• Establish new customer programs and strategic initiatives, defining structure, success metrics, and governance cadence.
• Lead process improvement initiatives while reporting on program health, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership.
• Over 15 years of experience in manufacturing switchgear, switchboards, or related electrical power distribution equipment.
• Proven track record of leading and building high-impact teams that have successfully established and executed strategic, high-visibility customer programs.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex, cross-functional programs involving R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, and Supply Chain.
• Strong history of customer-facing engagement, including presentations and negotiations with external stakeholders across various levels.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, engineered-to-order product development, and production scheduling within an industrial equipment context.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people-management skills, with experience in developing program management talent.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with senior leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Preferred: Experience with e-house, skid-mounted equipment, or modular power packages.
• Preferred: PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program/project management certification.
• Preferred: Experience in implementing or scaling a formal PMO function within a manufacturing organization.
• Preferred: Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., UL, IEEE, NEMA, NEC).
• Preferred: Experience with ERP/PLM systems and program management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
• Travel required, estimated at 25%, for customer visits, site meetings, and cross-site program reviews.
