Head of Hybrid Cloud Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Hybrid Cloud Operations (HCO) function

• Encourage employee development and operational excellence

• Manage People & Culture initiatives, including one-on-one meetings, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), regular feedback, and conflict resolution

• Facilitate the daily activities of multidisciplinary, self-directed squads

• Collaborate with Specialist Architects and Tech Leads to develop capabilities for designing, delivering, and maintaining solutions

• Ensure adherence to Service Level Objectives (SLOs), maintaining the quality and performance of the service provided

• Advocate for IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and promote a blameless culture through Postmortem practices

• Assist in strategic planning and manage the cascading and monitoring of squad Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in leading hybrid/complex cloud operations teams and managing personnel, with a focus on a people-first approach

• AI-first mindset with practical experience in AIOps, Generative AI, intelligent agents, or Large Language Models (LLMs) as applied to cloud operations, incident resolution, and optimization of operational workflows

• Practical experience in managing technical projects while utilizing ITSM frameworks (ITIL 4), operational metrics (SLAs, SLOs, MTRs), and OKRs

• In-depth knowledge of architecture, hybrid connectivity, automation (Infrastructure as Code/Site Reliability Engineering), and security within the Microsoft Cloud/Azure ecosystem

• Recommended certifications for the HCO Technical Leader certification matrix include: AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-700, AZ-500, and AZ-800/AZ-801

• Practical experience in developing AIOps routines or automations using Azure OpenAI/Microsoft Copilot is advantageous

• Current Microsoft MVP (Azure or AI) or MCT designation is a plus

• Current Microsoft Applied Skills credentials are a plus

• Concurrent dual Expert certification (AZ-305 + AZ-400) is a plus

• Previous experience in technical and personnel leadership at a Managed Services Provider (MSP) is a plus

• Familiarity with Cost Governance (FinOps) practices is a plus
