Head of Healthcare Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical and strategic roadmap for the US Health payment integrity division.

• Drive the design and product development of robust data pipelines optimized for Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Develop and manage comprehensive evaluation frameworks for unbiased decision-making.

• Mentor, nurture, and empower both senior and junior data scientists.

• Facilitate impactful client workshops and showcase innovative prototypes.

• Sustain a modular, agile product strategy that allows for seamless integration and capability swapping.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Data Science, with a proven history of leading teams of over 7 members for at least the past 5 years.

• Extensive knowledge of Healthcare Insurance Payment Integrity, including Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA).

• Proven hands-on experience in designing and scaling production-level Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, and autonomous multi-modal agent workflows.

• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) and foundational machine learning concepts.

• In-depth understanding of the entire machine learning lifecycle, including monitoring, versioning, and deployment processes.

• Mastery of strategic Databricks and ML flow, with experience managing enterprise AI environments using Mosaic AI, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and applying MLflow for comprehensive experiment tracking and prompt engineering.

• Demonstrated capability to co-create products with clients, manage complex stakeholder expectations, and serve as a liaison between technical execution and commercial business requirements.
