This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the initiative to shape the future of military decision-making within the U.S. Navy.
• Formulate and implement strategic plans aimed at fostering growth and expanding market presence.
• Perform market research and analysis to uncover business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive challenges.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with government agencies, military entities, industry partners, and prospective clients.
• Oversee marketing and sales efforts targeting Navy Program Acquisition Executives.
• Generate leads, enhance brand visibility, and derive expansion insights from existing clientele.
• Set performance metrics and KPIs to assess growth initiatives and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Direct resource allocation and strategic objectives for a team of Business Development Executives.
• Remain updated on industry trends, congressional developments, and key partnerships.
• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to teams focused on growth, customer relations, engineering, and marketing.
• Propel quarterly and annual revenue outcomes.
• Forge relationships with representatives from Service, Command, and Program Acquisition Executive offices.
• Develop and sustain a direct sales pipeline.
• Align Navy-related sales efforts with marketing, capture, and customer relations strategies.
• Lead the Navy Vertical team to meet company objectives and the goals set by the Chief Revenue Officer.
• Over 8 years of experience in the U.S. Navy, Department of War, defense technology, or government-oriented growth/business development.
• Proven history of strengthening relationships and generating revenue within government sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of the U.S. Navy’s organizational structure, including major operational commands, OPNAV, Fleet Forces, systems commands, and the acquisition and budgeting processes.
• Established record of enhancing enterprise relationships and revenue within the U.S. Government.
• Experience in selling or deploying software, technology, or mission-critical capabilities to Navy or Department of War clients.
• Capability to convert technical capabilities into persuasive operational and mission results.
• Proficient in establishing relationships with senior military and civilian leaders, operators, technical stakeholders, acquisition professionals, and contracting organizations.
• Expertise in developing and executing a growth strategy focused on the Navy.
• Prior experience in selling or scaling a software or technology product across various U.S. Navy organizations (preferred).
• Strong familiarity with the U.S. Navy and Department of War (preferred).
• Experience in crafting and managing complex, multi-year growth strategies (preferred).
• Experience functioning at the nexus of mission, technology, and government acquisition (preferred).
• Knowledge of account mapping, pipeline development, capture strategy, strategic partnerships, and expansion within large government accounts (preferred).
• Proficient in Salesforce.
