Head of FP&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the team's financial model, ensuring its structure, assumptions, maintenance, and utilization as the definitive source for planning.

• Manage the monthly performance versus plan cycle for all business segments.

• Create independent variance analyses based on actual results.

• Lead the monthly cash runway forecast updates in collaboration with the VP of Financial Performance.

• Maintain forward-looking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that inform leadership decisions.

• Convert financial variances into actionable insights.

• Oversee quarterly and annual financial planning on behalf of the Finance department.

• Systematize planning logic into repeatable, AI-assisted workflows.

• Collaborate closely with the VP of Financial Performance.

• Assist in board reporting and investor discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with a focus on financial modeling and monthly performance versus plan cycles.

• Experience in a complex business environment such as fintech, energy, commodities, or oil & gas.

• Solid understanding of financial markets.

• Ability to operate independently, forming an autonomous perspective from raw actuals.

• Strong data analysis capabilities and experience handling disorganized data.

• Proficient in integrating AI and agent-assisted workflows into planning processes.

• Experience in the energy sector is advantageous.

• Background in scale-up or venture capital-backed companies is preferred.

• Experience in supporting board reporting and investor interactions is a plus.
