Head of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct the company's forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning initiatives.

• Develop scalable FP&A models, dashboards, and reports to assess revenue, margin, and expense performance.

• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Operations, Customer Success, and other department leaders.

• Manage the general ledger, payroll, tax, invoicing, reconciliations, GAAP compliance, and internal controls.

• Identify and implement ERP systems, expense management solutions, analytics, and other financial tools.

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, analyses, and materials for the board.

• Forecast, monitor, and optimize cash inflows and outflows.

• Lead audits and tax filings while coordinating with external auditors and advisors.

• Analyze essential metrics, unit economics, and business performance to guide pricing, investments, and resource distribution.

• Recruit, develop, and manage the finance team.

• Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Over 8 years of experience in strategic finance, preferably in a growth-stage or late-stage startup environment.

• Experience in eCommerce, SaaS, or marketplace settings is preferred.

• Strong expertise in FP&A, strategic finance, and operational modeling.

• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and experience with audits and compliance processes.

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement financial planning procedures and internal controls.

• Proven experience collaborating cross-functionally with business leaders to enhance performance.

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (preferably QBO), Google Sheets, Excel, and the finance software ecosystem.

• Significant experience and enthusiasm for implementing AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency, speed, and accuracy.

• Exceptional analytical, executive-level written, and communication abilities.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented; adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Authorized to work in the United States.
