Head of Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee a diverse engineering team that includes specialists in computer vision, backend, frontend, hardware, and firmware.

• Establish and implement the engineering roadmap, balancing innovation with scalability.

• Design and develop real-time, AI-enhanced spatial computing applications.

• Work closely with product, business, and operations teams to convert business needs into technical solutions.

• Supervise the creation and launch of new features and products, ensuring they adhere to quality standards and meet customer expectations.

• Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of Augmodo’s platform.

• Remain at the cutting edge of spatial AI, computer vision, and real-time data processing.

• Take charge of technical decision-making, covering everything from infrastructure to ML model deployment.

• Foster a culture of innovation, swift iteration, and ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related discipline.

• Over 15 years of engineering experience, including more than 5 years in senior management roles supervising multiple engineering functions.

• Proficiency in computer vision, AI/ML, sensor fusion, or robotics.

• Experience in full-stack development and scalable cloud infrastructures.

• A strong interest in retail technology, AI, and revolutionizing physical work environments.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to excel in uncertain situations.

• A proactive builder mentality—hands-on when necessary but also capable of scaling teams and delegating effectively.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
