This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +6 more states.
• Take ownership of and establish the overarching design vision for Hospitable’s short-term rental software product.
• Lead the design efforts for the entire platform and ensure the highest quality standards are met.
• Personally manage high-impact design projects from initial discovery and research through to prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and the delivery of features.
• Oversee the design language, style guide, and component library.
• Simplify product complexity and maintain consistency as the platform and team evolve.
• Build and guide a lean product design team that leverages AI.
• Supervise work, implement quality control measures, and elevate the standard of delivered design outputs.
• Offer direct feedback and uphold high expectations for designers.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to determine the company's development focus.
• Utilize research, analytics, experimentation, and direct customer feedback to inform design decisions and showcase impact.
• Report directly to the CEO, Pierre.
• Experience in design leadership at a product-oriented SaaS company within the past 5 years.
• Proven ability to elevate designers’ performance through direct feedback, recruitment, and setting high standards.
• Demonstrated ownership of design direction from start to finish, including discovery to feature launch.
• A solid history of showcasing the impact of design work beyond mere deliverables.
• Hands-on design involvement within the last 3 years; not exclusively in a managerial role.
• Excellent research and briefing capabilities.
• Strong product insight and the ability to influence what is developed.
• Capacity to collaborate as an equal partner with Product and Engineering leadership.
• High level of agency and ownership.
• Ability to thrive in a lean, low-bureaucracy, AI-enhanced remote environment.
• Proficient in Whimsical and Figma.
• Preference for candidates in European or North American time zones for optimal fit.
• Experience in the short-term rental, travel, hospitality, or proptech sectors is a plus.

• Total cash budget ranging from USD$171,000.00 to $218,900.00, depending on seniority and cost of living.
• Company equity compensation through RSUs, with a current grant value of up to $119,400.00.
• Eligibility for up to an additional $671,637 per year in Performance Share Units (PSUs), linked to specific business performance targets.
