Head of Consultant Relations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Manage Superpower’s connections with top national, regional, and emerging benefits consulting and brokerage firms.

• Foster strong relationships within consultant organizations, engaging with national practice leaders and innovation teams as well as local-market consultants.

• Develop a qualified pipeline through introductions by consultants, portfolio opportunities, finalist processes, and strategic partnerships.

• Maintain goals related to consultant-influenced pipeline, revenue, and secured business.

• Position Superpower as a credible and distinct solution in preventive health, diagnostics, and employee wellbeing.

• Lead educational initiatives for consultants through briefings, market meetings, events, webinars, and individual engagement.

• Collaborate with enterprise and mid-market sales teams on consultant-led opportunities, account strategy, positioning, and deal execution.

• Navigate through consultant evaluation processes, RFIs, due diligence, preferred-vendor programs, and reviews of emerging solutions.

• Create repeatable coverage plans for priority firms and markets.

• Provide market intelligence to Product, Marketing, Clinical, and leadership teams.

• Develop the consultant relations playbook, operating rhythm, measurement system, and ultimately the team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in consultant relations, benefits partnerships, enterprise healthcare sales, or a senior consulting position within the employer-benefits ecosystem.

• Established meaningful relationships across the benefits consulting and brokerage sector.

• Proven track record of converting consultant relationships into employer introductions, qualified pipeline, and closed revenue.

• Knowledge of how sophisticated employers assess healthcare and wellbeing solutions, including the roles of consultants, brokers, procurement teams, clinical reviewers, and benefits leaders.

• Ability to discuss topics such as healthcare costs, employee engagement, preventive care, population health, clinical outcomes, and the evidence required by employers.

• Commercial mindset with accountability for market access, pipeline, revenue, and successful outcomes.

• Comfort in briefing national practice leadership and assisting sellers in navigating employer pursuits.

• Capability to establish structure with minimal support and without waiting for a completed playbook.

• Low ego, high judgment, and a readiness to personally engage in the work.
