Head of Consolidation and Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and consolidation processes for all legal entities of the company.

• Ensure precise and comprehensive financial reporting along with high-quality management information.

• Maintain and enhance the accounting and reporting framework to comply with relevant accounting standards and internal governance requirements.

• Supervise the preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.

• Oversee intercompany reconciliation and ensure alignment of reporting across entities.

• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, facilitating an efficient audit process.

• Provide accounting guidance and support to finance teams and management on complex transactions and reporting matters.

• Develop and uphold accounting policies, process documentation, and internal controls.

• Assist the CFO in financial reporting to management and shareholders, including analysis of financial results.

• Promote continuous improvement, automation, and simplification of accounting and reporting processes.

• Lead, coach, and nurture the accounting and consolidation team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

• At least 10 years of experience in accounting, consolidation, and reporting within an international or multi-entity setting.

• Proficiency with ERP and consolidation tools, particularly IBM Cognos.

• In-depth technical knowledge in accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting.

• Demonstrated experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and managing audits.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and associated reporting processes.

• Ability to convert complex financial data into clear and concise information for management.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills across various organizational levels.

• An analytical and structured mindset paired with a hands-on approach.

• Leadership skills to guide and inspire a small, high-performing team.

• Fluent in English.

• Proficiency in German is advantageous.

• A professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or Swiss Certified Accountant is a plus.
