This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.
β’ Develop and manage Gauntlet's compliance program, encompassing its priorities, governance, controls, and operating rhythm.
β’ Draft, revise, and implement policies and procedures throughout the organization.
β’ Establish a practical program for compliance testing and monitoring.
β’ Create processes for reporting, escalation, and governance to provide leadership with visibility into compliance risks and issues.
β’ Assist with upcoming registrations and prepare the organization for associated regulatory requirements.
β’ Coordinate regulatory examinations, audits, and related information requests.
β’ Collaborate with Legal, Product, Engineering, Finance, People, and commercial teams to integrate compliance requirements into daily operations.
β’ Review and enhance company-wide compliance training initiatives.
β’ Provide guidance to the business in areas such as financial crime, privacy, marketing, securities, anti-corruption, employment, and other pertinent domains.
β’ Leverage AI and automation to enhance monitoring, reporting, policy management, and compliance workflows.
β’ Keep the program up-to-date as products, clients, and regulatory obligations evolve.
β’ Map current compliance efforts, identify gaps, and develop a prioritized remediation strategy.
β’ Establish essential policies, procedures, testing, monitoring, reporting, escalation, and governance cadences.
β’ Proven experience in building a compliance program, establishing a significant component of one, or significantly enhancing an existing program.
β’ Extensive compliance experience across various domains, with a strong understanding of policies, controls, monitoring, testing, training, reporting, and governance.
β’ Experience in supporting regulatory registrations, examinations, audits, or similar engagements.
β’ Ability to define the approach and execute directly without the need for a mature compliance function.
β’ Capability to provide clear, practical, risk-based advice and deliver a firm βnoβ when necessary.
β’ Sound judgment and confidence in raising concerns directly.
β’ Comfort in working within a growing organization with shifting priorities and regulatory inquiries.
β’ Bonus: Experience in cryptocurrency, digital assets, or on-chain financial products.
