Head of Competence Center – Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take on a leadership role in enhancing the Insurance unit.

• Strategically cultivate the Insurance Competence Center.

• Establish effective processes, implement data-driven performance management, and uphold best practices.

• Further expand the service portfolio within the insurance sector.

• Offer expert support for pre-sales and identify new business prospects in the DACH region.

• Assume responsibility for business-driven testing initiatives.

• Develop reusable accelerators.

• Oversee insurance transformation testing from design through execution.

• Elevate the visibility and positioning of the Competence Center through industry-oriented formats and events.

• Manage external testing teams.

• Ensure alignment among business departments, business analysts, and developers.

• Formulate test plans and testing concepts.

• Organize, oversee, and track testing activities across various projects.

• Implement appropriate test types and levels while managing quality and risks.

• Enhance test strategies and advocate for test automation.

• Provide practical, hands-on assistance to projects as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of test management experience within the insurance sector.

• Background in complex transformation and modernization projects.

• Ideally, experience with msg, msg life, or msg systems environments, or similar programs on the insurer side or in consulting.

• Expertise in core modernization, policy portfolio migration, and portal and partner integration.

• Proficient in Jira, Xray, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps.

• Experience in program and project management.

• Strong hands-on approach and a high degree of accountability.

• Methodical and solution-focused work ethic.

• High flexibility and readiness to travel.

• Professional demeanor accompanied by clear communication skills.

• Excellent German language skills (C1).

• Very good English language proficiency.

• ISTQB certification, preferably at the Advanced Level, is advantageous.
