Head of Collections & Asset Recovery, Russian Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for the overall strategy and performance of the collections and recovery department.

• Lead and develop the collections team, establish targets, allocate workloads, and ensure consistent execution of tasks.

• Be accountable for key performance indicators such as collection rates, delinquency levels, and asset recovery.

• Design and continuously enhance strategies for both soft and hard collections.

• Establish customer segmentation, contact schedules, escalation protocols, payment plans, and settlement policies.

• Analyze delinquent portfolios, prioritize high-risk cases, and pinpoint opportunities for improving recoveries.

• Oversee equipment repossession and asset recovery, including managing internal processes and external partnerships.

• Cultivate relationships with third-party collection agencies and other recovery service providers.

• Collaborate closely with Operations, Customer Support, Analytics, and Marketing teams to implement necessary changes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in B2C collections or debt recovery, ideally within the United States, with considerable experience managing delinquent customers.

• At least 3 years in a leadership role within collections, responsible for team and portfolio performance.

• Extensive knowledge of soft collection methods, hard collections, settlements, payment plans, escalation, and recovery strategies.

• Proven experience in managing large delinquent portfolios through segmentation and data-driven prioritization.

• Strong grasp of collections KPIs and the ability to analyze the factors influencing recovery performance changes.

• Experience in asset recovery or repossession is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with third-party collection agencies, legal escalation, or fraud/theft cases is a considerable asset.

• Excellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.

• Proficiency in English (C1+).

• Knowledge of the Russian language is a plus.

• Must be available during US Eastern Time business hours.
