This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Process patient insurance details during the patient intake procedure.
• Collect payments on any outstanding patient balances.
• Address credits when overpayments from payers necessitate refunds.
• Execute revenue operations tasks related to medical insurance collections, credits, or establishing patient insurance coverage.
• Liaise with insurance payers to confirm appropriate coverage and ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for dialysis services.
• Respond to payer inquiries accurately and without delay.
• Collaborate with revenue operations teams to guarantee smooth processes.
• Work in partnership with insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators.
• Identify opportunities for process modifications and continuous improvements.
• Keep patient account information current.
• Uphold the confidentiality of both company and patient data.
• Participate in team meetings, phone conferences, and training sessions.
• Adhere to teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Competence in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience in collections is preferred.
• Candidates are expected to work MST hours.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt swiftly and demonstrate resilience.
• Initiative and drive to manage a portfolio and navigate assigned queues.
• Capability to maintain confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
• Previous healthcare experience is not required.
