Head of Clinical Recruitment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee the clinical recruiting function.

• Manage the clinical hiring strategy from workforce planning and sourcing through to offer acceptance and onboarding transition.

• Source clinicians via LinkedIn, Indeed, licensing boards, professional associations, referral networks, conferences, niche communities, university alumni networks, and targeted outreach efforts.

• Create market intelligence regarding clinician supply, compensation trends, geographic availability, cross-state licensure policies and compacts, and competitor hiring activities.

• Suggest hiring strategies based on labor market conditions and business priorities.

• Identify growth opportunities and talent-rich markets to facilitate company expansion.

• Collaborate with founders, operations, and clinical leadership on workforce planning, provider capacity, and hiring priorities.

• Conduct intake meetings to clarify role specifications and hiring expectations.

• Provide guidance to leadership on recruiting strategy, compensation competitiveness, interview process enhancements, and hiring timelines.

• Perform recruiter screenings to assess clinical experience, licensure, telehealth readiness, state coverage, communication style, and alignment with the mission.

• Ensure consistent communication with candidates and enhance the employer brand.

• Build scalable recruiting workflows, playbooks, interview guides, and documentation.

• Maintain precise candidate records in the ATS, such as JazzHR.

• Monitor recruiting performance through dashboards and reporting.

• Manage recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, pipeline health, source effectiveness, interview-to-offer conversion, offer acceptance rate, hiring manager satisfaction, candidate experience, and clinician retention trends.

• Identify bottlenecks and enact improvements to enhance hiring quality, recruiting efficiency, and scalability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of comprehensive healthcare recruiting experience.

• 2+ years of experience leading or managing a clinical recruiting function.

• High-volume recruitment experience, sourcing at least 15+ candidates per month.

• Proven success in recruiting licensed behavioral health clinicians, including psychologists and therapists.

• Background in a startup or rapidly growing healthcare organization where recruiting processes were established or significantly optimized.

• Strong passive sourcing abilities utilizing multiple channels beyond traditional job boards.

• In-depth knowledge of behavioral health licensing, telehealth recruiting, and multi-state hiring considerations.

• Experience collaborating directly with executive leadership and hiring managers.

• Exceptional interviewing, relationship-building, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Strong analytical skills with a track record of using recruiting metrics to enhance performance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Preferred: experience recruiting for virtual-first or telehealth organizations.

• Preferred: experience hiring Clinical Psychologists (PhD/PsyD).

• Preferred: familiarity with PSYPACT and multi-state behavioral health licensing.

• Preferred: experience scaling recruiting during periods of rapid organizational growth.

• Preferred: experience implementing ATS workflows or enhancing recruiting processes.

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
