This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the entire bidding process from qualification through to submission and award.
• Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to ensure bid quality and adherence to deadlines.
• Take ownership of pricing and commercial strategies for each bid.
• Implement governance practices to guide decisions on opportunity pursuits at every stage.
• Present bid risks and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
• Coordinate contributions from Product, Engineering, Services, Legal, and Finance to create a cohesive response.
• Develop the bids function, including personnel, processes, content, tools, and AI capabilities.
• Plan resource allocation across active bids.
• Support, mentor, and foster the development of the bids team.
• Establish trusted relationships with colleagues and partners to ensure submissions meet customer needs.
• Proven experience in successfully winning high-value, competitive bids.
• Experience in leading a bids or proposals team, including overseeing the processes and governance involved.
• Ability to construct and articulate pricing strategies that strike a balance between competitiveness and margin.
• Capability to present bid risks to senior leadership, along with recommendations on when to withdraw.
• Familiarity with sales and procurement processes.
• Proficient in managing multiple bids concurrently while ensuring accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to unite contributors across different teams, time zones, and countries.
• Ability to respectfully handle disagreements and facilitate decision-making in debates.
• Incorporate AI into your work; a willingness to experiment with AI tools and an inquisitive mindset regarding their applications is expected.
• Passion for developing team members and providing constructive feedback.
• Knowledge of public procurement processes for technology solutions.
• Experience in public transport, mobility, or other regulated, tender-driven sectors.
• Proficiency in additional languages is a plus, given the diverse range of markets.
• Experience in introducing or enhancing bid tools, content libraries, or knowledge management systems.
• Candidates must reside in the US and possess a current right to work in the US.
• 20 days of vacation each year, with the option to purchase an additional 5 days annually.
• Office closure between Christmas and New Year, resulting in over 28 days of vacation.
