This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Oversee each bid from the qualification phase through to submission and award, collaborating with Business Development while ensuring quality and meeting deadlines.
• Take charge of pricing and commercial strategy for each bid, striking a balance between winning potential and profit margins.
• Facilitate governance for opportunity pursuit decisions and each stage of the bidding process.
• Communicate bid risks and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
• Coordinate input from Product, Engineering, Services, Legal, and Finance to create a cohesive response.
• Develop the bids function, encompassing personnel, processes, content, tools, and AI capabilities.
• Plan resource allocation for ongoing bids.
• Mentor, support, and cultivate the bids team.
• Establish trusted relationships with colleagues and partners to ensure submissions align with customer needs.
• Candidates must reside in Spain and possess the current right to work there; this will be verified during the recruitment process.
• Proven experience in securing high-value, competitive bids.
• Demonstrated experience in leading a bids or proposals team, including process management and governance.
• Capability to develop and articulate pricing strategy, balancing the likelihood of winning with margin considerations.
• Aptitude to present bid risks to senior leadership and advise on the appropriateness of withdrawing from bids when necessary.
• Knowledge of sales and procurement processes.
• Competence to handle multiple bids at once while maintaining precision under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to unite contributors from various teams, time zones, and countries.
• Capacity to manage disagreements respectfully and facilitate decision-making through debate.
• Experience or interest in experimenting with AI tools; professional AI experience is not mandatory.
• Passion for developing individuals and providing constructive feedback.
• Familiarity with public procurement for technology solutions is a plus.
• Experience in public transport, mobility, or other regulated, tender-driven sectors is advantageous.
• Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Experience in introducing or enhancing bid tools, content libraries, or knowledge management is desirable.
• Curriculum Vitae must be submitted in English.
• 23 days of vacation per year plus a Christmas Shutdown (an additional 3-4 days).
