This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead each bidding process from qualification to submission and award.
• Collaborate closely with Business Development while ensuring bid quality and meeting deadlines.
• Take ownership of pricing and commercial strategy for each bid, maintaining a balance between win probability and margin.
• Oversee governance for decision-making and stage reviews during opportunity pursuits.
• Present risks associated with bids and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
• Coordinate contributions from Product, Engineering, Services, Legal, and Finance into a cohesive response.
• Develop the bids function, encompassing personnel, processes, content, and tools.
• Utilize AI to enhance bid speed and increase win rates.
• Plan resource allocation across active bids.
• Support, mentor, and develop the bids team.
• Foster trusted relationships with colleagues and partners to ensure submissions meet customer requirements.
• Proven experience in securing high-value, competitive bids.
• Background in leading a bids or proposals team, including process management and governance.
• Capability to design and articulate pricing strategies, balancing winning and margin considerations.
• Proficient in presenting bid risks to senior leadership and recommending withdrawal when necessary.
• Understanding of sales and procurement processes.
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while ensuring accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to unite contributors across teams, time zones, and countries.
• Capacity to handle disagreements respectfully and facilitate decision-making through constructive debates.
• Experience experimenting with AI tools and a genuine interest in leveraging AI to learn, solve challenges, and work efficiently.
• Passion for developing individuals and providing constructive feedback.
• Familiarity with public procurement for technology solutions is preferred.
• Experience in public transport, mobility, or other regulated, tender-led sectors is preferred.
• Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Experience in introducing or enhancing bid tooling, content libraries, or knowledge management systems is preferred.
• Applicants must reside in Canada and possess a current right to work in Canada.
• CV must be submitted in English.
• 20 days of vacation annually, in addition to public holidays.
