Hardware Asset Lifecycle Management Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Act as the enterprise Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Hardware Asset Management, ensuring the integrity of data, governance, and compliance throughout the hardware asset lifecycle across repositories, CMDB, and ServiceNow HAM platforms.

• Oversee and enhance the complete hardware asset lifecycle, focusing on inventory precision, asset reconciliation, audit preparedness, process enhancement, and adherence to policies.

• Direct the configuration, administration, and improvement of ServiceNow HAM Pro functionalities, including integrations with CMDB, Discovery, and other enterprise systems.

• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Governance, Security, and IT stakeholders to enhance asset visibility, hardware tracking, inventory controls, vendor alignment, and lifecycle governance.

• Create training materials, documentation, reports, user stories, process maps, and analytics that promote the adoption of HAM best practices, continuous improvement, and operational efficiencies enabled by AI.

• Provide guidance, stakeholder training, vendor coordination, and leadership to elevate the maturity of hardware asset management across the enterprise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting enterprise Hardware Asset Management programs, including lifecycle planning, inventory governance, controls, and operational oversight.

• At least 3 years of experience managing activities related to audit readiness, regulatory requirements, and complex reconciliation or resolution of inventory exceptions.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in establishing and maintaining data quality standards, normalization practices, and reliable asset records.

• At least 2 years of experience working with ServiceNow ITAM capabilities, including HAM Pro, Discovery, and CMDB integrations.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting governance frameworks, control processes, and accuracy standards across CMDB platforms and enterprise hardware inventories.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience (high school diploma + 4 years of relevant experience).

• Preferred: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS-HAM), ITIL v4 Foundation, or other equivalent Asset Management certifications.

• Preferred experience with SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa, depreciation, fixed assets, and asset reconciliation.

• Preferred strong analytical and reporting capabilities using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

• Preferred experience in leading ServiceNow HAM enhancements, governance initiatives, data normalization programs, and improvements in CMDB data quality.

• Preferred experience utilizing AI/ML capabilities.

• Preferred experience managing hardware vendors and lifecycle service providers.

• Preferred experience in process mapping, technical documentation, requirements gathering, and project delivery methodologies, including PMP, Scrum Master, or similar approaches.
