Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +27 more states.

📋 Description

• Configure, enhance, and provide support for Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions throughout implementation and modernization initiatives.

• Engage in PolicyCenter configuration, updates to product models, business rule adjustments, workflows, integrations, and platform extensions.

• Offer support for Property & Casualty insurance solutions encompassing both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines products.

• Collaborate with onsite coordinators, project teams, and client stakeholders to clarify requirements and facilitate delivery.

• Contribute to project deliverables, technical documentation, configuration modifications, testing assistance, and resolution of issues.

• Assist in enterprise system integrations utilizing Java, XML, web services, SQL, messaging platforms, and related technologies.

• Diagnose configuration, integration, and environmental challenges across Guidewire implementation workstreams.

• Implement software development best practices to ensure quality, maintainability, performance, and platform stability.

• Aid in Guidewire Cloud implementation activities and Advanced Product Designer configuration when relevant.

• Take part in project status discussions, delivery coordination, and client-facing working sessions.

• Travel to client locations as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6-8+ years of relevant industry experience, including hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration.

• Extensive experience in Property & Casualty insurance, covering Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, or both.

• Current, active Guidewire certifications are strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with Personal Lines products such as Personal Auto, Property, Homeowners, Personal Umbrella, or similar offerings.

• Knowledge of Commercial Lines products like Commercial Auto, Commercial Property, Workers’ Compensation, Farm, Commercial Umbrella, Farm Umbrella, Business Owners, or related products.

• Strong technical background in Java, JEE, XML, Web Services, SQL, ANT, and enterprise integration concepts.

• Experience with PL/SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Castor, or enterprise messaging systems.

• Understanding of application servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere, or WebLogic.

• Practical experience in supporting enterprise system integrations, preferably within the insurance sector.

• Comprehension of software development best practices, configuration standards, testing support, and delivery of releases.

• Excellent business communication skills with technical teams, business stakeholders, and client-facing project teams.

• BE, BTech, MCA, or equivalent experience in a related technical discipline.
