This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Drive new business initiatives and foster long-term customer success throughout the Missouri territory.
• Assist preK–12 schools and districts by providing student-facing software, professional learning for educators, and implementation services.
• Establish and cultivate significant relationships with high-level decision-makers in the education sector.
• Develop, oversee, and implement territory plans that align with academic calendars, funding cycles, and district priorities to meet quotas across both new and existing accounts.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within current client accounts.
• Collaborate with Customer Success to guarantee product adoption, measure impact, and ensure successful renewals.
• Deliver engaging presentations, both in-person and virtually, to stakeholders at the district level.
• Build and sustain relationships with superintendents, curriculum directors, technology leaders, and procurement officers.
• Create professional proposals and strategic communications that align with district goals, funding sources, and instructional needs.
• Work alongside internal teams and sales leadership to create data-informed strategies and enhance overall team success.
• Maintain accurate records in Salesforce, manage pipeline health, and provide forecasts and market insights to leadership.
• Analyze trends within the territory, shifts in funding, and the competitive landscape.
• Represent Lexia at regional conferences, webinars, and networking events.
• Travel up to 50% within the territory while utilizing virtual tools effectively.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, and account management.
• Experience in selling or working with technology-based curriculum products; a background in Literacy/Reading products is highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the K–12 education landscape, including funding cycles, decision-making hierarchies, and instructional priorities is highly preferred.
• Established knowledge of the specific geographical territory and existing contacts in K-12 education.
• Demonstrated ability to identify client needs, propose customized solutions, and successfully close complex deals to consistently meet new revenue targets.
• A proven and ongoing successful track record in achieving sales goals, closing business, and managing a pipeline of opportunities within large, complex districts in the assigned territory.
• Proficient in using CRM (Salesforce), MS Office, Google Suites, video conferencing software, and other technology-based productivity tools.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver product presentations clearly and concisely to groups and decision makers, both in-person and via video conferencing.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays.
• Candidates must reside and work within the US.
