Group PMO Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate a portfolio of strategic business and transformation initiatives.

• Manage interdependencies between projects across global functions and business units.

• Establish and uphold project governance, reporting frameworks, and controls.

• Provide clear updates to executive stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and priorities.

• Directly oversee selected high-profile projects that require additional leadership.

• Mentor and support project leaders to enhance delivery outcomes.

• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and benefits realization for key initiatives.

• Collaborate with Finance and business sponsors to ensure projects align with approved business cases.

• Facilitate decision-making and help eliminate barriers to delivery.

• Promote continuous improvement in project management standards, tools, and methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in leading complex, multi-workstream programs within a multinational organization.

• Proven track record of delivering strategic projects across transformation, operations, M&A, technology, innovation, or capital investment.

• Experience managing project portfolios that involve multiple stakeholders, functions, and geographical locations.

• Strong expertise in program governance and project delivery.

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the capability to influence senior leadership.

• Financial acumen and experience in managing budgets, forecasts, and benefits tracking.

• Background in manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or technology-driven businesses.

• A collaborative and pragmatic approach to work.

• Confidence to constructively challenge when necessary.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain effective amidst shifting priorities.

• Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent is preferred.
