This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Lead and nurture a team of Product and Program Managers tasked with overseeing the NPI process, achieving commercial milestones, and managing the roadmap for grid, power plant controls, and converter software.
• Establish the global strategy for grid integration by synthesizing insights from customers, grid operators, and market regulators into a prioritized feature roadmap.
• Serve as the liaison between commercial teams and engineering, managing demand and prioritizing competing feature requests based on regional market requirements and technical feasibility.
• Represent GE’s technical capabilities to customers and regulators through 30–50% external engagement.
• Act as the customer's voice to internal engineering teams.
• Own the commercialization strategy and value proposition documentation, translating intricate grid integration features into sales support materials.
• Provide programmatic leadership for scheduling, pacing, and execution of grid integration software and testing initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering Leadership to balance innovative development, including grid-forming converters and hybrid storage, with the commercial needs of turbine models and markets.
• Ensure the team's commitment to commercial milestones and synchronize grid integration activities with product release and customer delivery timelines.
• Define and steer the commercial and programmatic strategy for grid integration across the wind turbine portfolio.
• Manage the multi-generation technology roadmap for grid integration capabilities and lead the commercialization strategy for new technologies.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution, along with 8+ years of pertinent professional experience.
• 5 years of experience in renewables grid integration, product management, or program management.
• 3 years of experience leading engineering projects, technical teams, or functional engineering organizations.
• Advanced proficiency in English is required.
• For candidates based in Brazil: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a relevant field from an accredited institution, coupled with extensive professional experience in the energy or industrial sector.
• For Brazil-based candidates: Demonstrated expertise in renewables grid integration, product management, or program management, with a strong history of delivering results in complex and dynamic environments.
• For Brazil-based candidates: Proven leadership experience in managing engineering projects, technical teams, or functional engineering organizations.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for this position.
• Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable.
• An advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Engineering) from an accredited university.
• In-depth knowledge of electricity markets, regulatory frameworks, and power system requirements.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and align commercial/technical teams towards a shared objective.
• Experience in a customer-facing role, managing high-stakes external relationships with utilities/grid operators.
• Prior experience in product ownership, especially for software-based or complex technical products.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex quantitative data into actionable business strategies.
• Exceptional communication skills to simplify technical complexities into clear, high-level strategic messaging.
