πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Ensure reliable power access for Iron Mountain's growing data center portfolio.

β€’ Identify the power supply pathway for new locations, encompassing connection procedures, responsible parties, technical specifications, system enhancements, redundancy protocols, voltage requirements, and necessary components.

β€’ Lead negotiations for grid connection agreements with local utility providers.

β€’ Convert utility contracts and grid limitations into operational and commercial implications for data center initiatives and clients.

β€’ Verify the technical aspects of power design and delivery, including upstream system resources.

β€’ Oversee the master timeline for power delivery, coordinating responsibilities and milestones.

β€’ Manage the entire lifecycle of grid access agreements, addressing utilization thresholds, commercial risks, and compliance.

β€’ Collaborate with external technical consultants, utilities, sales teams, construction teams, and project managers.

β€’ Track utility requirements, underutilization clauses, customer ramp-up timelines, and capacity obligations.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Familiarity with electrical system components and voltage levels necessary to ensure contracts provide power that meets the needs of new facilities.

β€’ Excellent commercial negotiation and process management abilities.

β€’ Capability to hold cross-functional teams and external utilities accountable to stringent deadlines.

β€’ Experience collaborating with technical engineering, commercial sales, construction, and external utility teams.

β€’ Proven expertise in energy procurement, utility relationships, or infrastructure project management for energy-intensive users.

β€’ History of direct negotiations with utilities or system operators.

β€’ Ability to interpret complex grid connection contracts and comprehend their impact on construction timelines and customer ramp-up schedules.

β€’ Must reside in the US.

β€’ Bachelor's degree in business, electrical engineering, project management, or a related energy discipline.
