This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create artwork for game packaging, game boards, cards, components, instruction manuals, retail displays, and additional supporting materials.
• Generate innovative concepts inspired by game themes, target demographics, and brand guidelines.
• Design layouts utilizing typography, composition, color schemes, and visual hierarchy.
• Construct and adjust packaging dielines using existing templates along with custom specifications.
• Design logos, icons, patterns, and various supporting graphics.
• Keep up with current trends in board games, toys, packaging, entertainment, retail, and pop culture.
• Prepare precise, production-ready artwork for manufacturing purposes.
• Preflight, package, and systematically organize artwork files for production.
• Confirm imagery, product descriptions, logos, legal text, component specifics, and other essential elements prior to artwork approval.
• Ensure artwork adheres to packaging dielines and manufacturing standards.
• Maintain orderly files and implement version control processes.
• Provide assistance with photo editing and image preparation tasks.
• Collaborate with the Art Director, Brand Management, Project Management, Product Development, and other cross-functional teams.
• Handle multiple projects while balancing shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Integrate creative and production feedback while preserving design quality.
• Adapt to evolving project demands and timelines.
• Over 5 years of professional graphic design and production experience in an agency, studio, or in-house creative setting.
• Proven experience in designing for board games, tabletop games, toys, game packaging, or a closely related physical consumer product sector.
• A portfolio showcasing strong packaging and product-oriented graphic design; experience with board games or tabletop projects is highly preferred.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Solid understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and print production processes.
• Experience in preparing production-ready files and prepress artwork.
• Familiarity with consumer packaging and dieline creation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in working on a Mac platform.
• A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
• Additional experience with game boards, cards, components, rulebooks, licensed brands, illustration, logo creation, 3D rendering, large-format graphics, or photo editing is advantageous.
