Graphic Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in creating plain-language communications and outreach services for accessibility across various platforms and formats, including fact sheets, infographics, social media content, and television and radio public service announcements.

• Develop infographics and other visual materials for integration into HHS OMH publications.

• Offer graphic design assistance and advice for fact sheets, infographics, posters, brochures, and related materials.

• Ensure that all designs comply with HHS OMH branding and style guidelines.

• Reproduce documents using Adobe InDesign.

• Promptly update PDF documents in line with the Project Manager's and HHS OMH's instructions.

• Handle multiple graphic design and PDF layout projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Participate in project status update meetings at least biweekly.

• Aid HHS OMH in enhancing communication with communities that have limited English proficiency and in facilitating access to health and wellness information.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.

• Minimum of three years of experience in graphic design and/or PDF layout support.

• At least three years of professional experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.

• Capable of managing multiple graphic design and PDF layout projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven setting.

• Must qualify for an HHS Public Trust security clearance.

• Intermediate or advanced skills in 508 compliance with Microsoft 365 or Adobe Acrobat preferred, but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with human-centered design principles preferred, but not essential.

• Experience with HTML, CSS, and video editing software preferred, but not required.

• Experience in federal government, government contracting, or public health preferred, but not mandatory.
