This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the Siemens Healthineers administrator for government-funded grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts.
• Supervise grant administration from the development of proposals through to the closeout of awards.
• Ensure compliance with grant terms, requirements from funding agencies, and internal policies.
• Oversee disclosures of conflicts of interest, invoicing, financial reporting, effort reporting, timekeeping, subawards, subcontract administration, documentation, and readiness for audits.
• Facilitate communication with governmental agencies, universities, research institutions, and funding organizations.
• Handle no-cost extensions, carryover, rebudgeting, changes in project scope, and other modifications.
• Independently manage administrative tasks for research collaborations and sponsored projects.
• Oversee the execution of agreements and the initiation of project activities.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, collection of documents, obtaining approvals, and submission processes.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, reporting requirements, and the achievement of project milestones.
• Maintain precise records of collaboration agreements and funded projects.
• Develop and uphold internal standard operating procedures for grants.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, and Technology & Innovation teams.
• Facilitate internal reviews and approvals for grant submissions and collaborative initiatives.
• Coordinate with Siemens Healthineers global headquarters and collaboration administration teams.
• Align regional and global collaboration processes while sharing best practices.
• Foster productive relationships with academic institutions, healthcare providers, government agencies, and research organizations.
• Support meetings, reporting activities, and communications with partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Public Administration, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Engineering, Research Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in grants administration, sponsored research administration, research operations, or program management.
• Experience with federally funded research programs and grant mechanisms.
• Proven experience managing collaborations among industry, academia, healthcare systems, and government organizations.
• Experience in coordinating contracts, subawards, or research agreements.
• A solid understanding of federal grant regulations and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with NIH grant mechanisms and administration.
• Knowledge of NIH, ARPA-H, DoD, and DOE.
• Understanding of research collaboration agreements, sponsored research agreements, and associated contracting processes.
• Knowledge of conflict-of-interest management and research compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with financial reporting, invoicing, and effort/timekeeping requirements linked to grants.
• Experience with both pre- and post-award grant administration.
• Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal capabilities.
• Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and priorities.
• An analytical mindset with the competence to evaluate funding opportunities and compliance risks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience with grants management systems and government funding portals is highly desirable.
