This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.
• Oversee the complete process of preparing, reviewing, and submitting intricate proposals, which include multi-PI, multi-institution, center-level, and limited-submission applications.
• Analyze and implement sponsor guidelines, FOAs, and institutional policies to guarantee that submissions are both compliant and competitive.
• Create, assess, and modify detailed proposal budgets, budget justifications, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with principal investigators to gather necessary materials and address any issues prior to submission.
• Ensure timely submissions via sponsor portals such as Grants.gov, Research.gov, and NIH ASSIST.
• Perform thorough compliance reviews focusing on budget accuracy, cost principles, effort commitments, subrecipient documentation, and regulatory mandates.
• Identify and address compliance risks associated with sponsor terms, institutional policies, and federal regulations.
• Maintain compliance with internal deadlines, routing procedures, and institutional approval workflows.
• Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies pertinent to sponsored programs.
• Foster positive, service-oriented relationships through proactive and collaborative communication.
• Guide and support junior Grant & Contract Administrators.
• Exemplify critical thinking, accountability, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Work together with internal and external stakeholders across various geographic locations to achieve consensus among diverse groups.
• Uphold confidentiality and represent the institution professionally.
• Master's degree in a finance or business-related field with three years of experience in sponsored programs administration, including proposal submissions, OR a Bachelor's degree in a finance or business-related field with five years of comparable experience.
• Familiarity with sponsor, government, and organizational regulations, including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret policies, evaluate risks, and independently resolve issues.
• Proven experience in preparing and submitting proposals.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Comfortable utilizing various platforms, including Cayuse and Workday.
• Ability to supervise others.
• Certification as a Research Administrator is preferred.
