Graduate Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and deliver scalable software systems focused on AI.

• Contribute to the advancement of agentic AI capabilities for recognizing vulnerabilities, automating penetration testing, optimizing workflows, and enhancing threat intelligence.

• Take ownership of the complete product feature development process, from ideation to production deployment and monitoring.

• Actively participate in and lead the design and implementation of AI-driven systems, fostering effective software development life cycle (SDLC) practices.

• Engage in technical discussions, code reviews, and design meetings, sharing your knowledge to elevate the team's skills.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to incorporate AI capabilities into wider systems and applications.

• Maintain Synack’s security and privacy standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in a computing or technology-related field.

• Approximately 1 year of relevant work or internship experience.

• 3 years of hands-on experience with Python or Go.

• Familiarity with AI technologies such as LLMs, RAG, MCP, etc.

• Basic understanding of token usage optimization and techniques for LLM cost optimization.

• Extensive experience and knowledge of microservices, REST API design, gRPC, unit testing, and BDD testing.

• Proficient design skills are required; familiarity with UML is a plus, and exposure to Domain Driven Design is desirable.

• Some experience with asynchronous messaging technologies like Google PubSub and Kafka.

• In-depth understanding of NoSQL and RDBMS technologies.

• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Environments (preferably GCP).

• Experience working within agile teams.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across all mediums.

• Proven experience in developing and scaling microservice-based applications.

• Demonstrated ability to excel in a collaborative environment with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts.
