Graduate Fire Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Generate and review fire strategies applicable to a diverse array of building types and uses.

• Perform and document detailed fire risk assessments in compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines under the BAFE SP205 scheme.

• Assist in the formulation and revision of Building Safety Cases and related documentation.

• Communicate with fire risk assessors to address validation concerns and offer technical assistance regarding the BAFE SP205 scheme.

• Deliver expert fire engineering and fire safety guidance to clients, project teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

• Stay informed on UK fire safety laws, British Standards, Approved Documents, and industry best practices.

• Collaborate effectively with architects, design teams, contractors, and building managers to create practical, compliant, and cost-efficient fire safety solutions.

• Engage in internal training, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing endeavors to foster continuous improvement throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Fire Engineering or a relevant qualification in Fire Engineering or a related field.

• In-depth understanding of UK fire safety legislation, Approved Document B, British Standards, and related guidelines.

• Proven experience in developing fire strategies and conducting fire engineering evaluations.

• Experience in performing fire risk assessments under the BAFE SP205 scheme is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• A dedication to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

• Willingness to travel to client locations throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays when necessary.
