This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assess government programs, agency operations, and outputs of public-sector administration.
• Evaluate proposed methodologies against practical government operations and institutional limitations.
• Detect unsupported assumptions, operational deficiencies, and unrealistic recommendations.
• Analyze administrative frameworks, policies, procedures, organizational workflows, governance models, and implementation strategies.
• Review administrative effectiveness, accountability, operational viability, process design, oversight, execution, and public-sector service delivery.
• Assess policy analyses, regulatory documents, and recommendations for implementation.
• Evaluate evidence, reasoning, policy interpretation, administrative criteria, and gaps in implementation.
• Analyze public-sector budgets, resource allocations, program expenditures, staffing, funding, and distribution decisions.
• Evaluate the coherence between financial recommendations, operational priorities, budgets, goals, and implementation strategies.
• Examine trade-offs related to cost, capacity, public value, and service delivery.
• Analyze scenarios involving agencies, departments, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
• Review communication strategies, escalation procedures, coordination efforts, ownership, accountability, and interagency collaboration.
• Examine government reports, policy documentation, spreadsheets, and presentations for accuracy, completeness, clarity, logical coherence, and usefulness in decision-making.
• Identify factual, analytical, aesthetic, and formatting discrepancies in documents and presentations.
• Evaluate charts, tables, and supplementary materials for accurate representation of the underlying data.
• Ensure recommendations are clearly linked to evidence, policy goals, and operational limitations.
• Assess assigned outputs against specific quality standards relevant to the domain.
• Provide concise, structured written feedback on strengths, weaknesses, and identified inaccuracies.
• Consistently apply evaluation standards across government and public-sector outputs.
• Over 5 years of relevant professional experience in government, public administration, public policy, government affairs, regulatory administration, or a closely related field.
• Comprehensive practical knowledge of government operations and administrative processes.
• Experience in reviewing or formulating policies, programs, budgets, reports, or public-sector initiatives.
• Capability to evaluate operational feasibility, policy implementation, and regulatory factors.
• Strong understanding of stakeholder engagement and public-sector decision-making processes.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint / Google Slides.
• Strong analytical abilities and spreadsheet skills.
• Native or professional fluency in English.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, structured feedback.
• Keen attention to detail regarding policy, operations, analysis, and presentation.

• Part-time independent contractor role.

• Compensation ranging from $70 to $110 per hour.
