This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Oversee and coordinate educational, administrative, and counseling initiatives for high school students.
• Ensure that educational programs align with state and local school board regulations.
• Research and implement curriculum resources outside of K12 that satisfy state standards as necessary.
• Clearly communicate the school’s mission and vision while fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
• Utilize communication technologies that support a primarily virtual/remote work environment.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations concerning special education and categorical programs.
• Engage with students, families, Municipal Court systems, and local districts regarding attendance and engagement adherence.
• Develop and manage the execution of the school’s Student Achievement Improvement Plan.
• Supervise and assess teaching staff performance.
• Oversee teacher performance and provide training for their professional growth.
• Manage Master and Lead Teachers along with their respective programs.
• Consult with teachers, students, and parents on educational and behavioral issues.
• Collaborate with teachers and K12 Enrollment concerning expulsions and withdrawals.
• Directly supervise between 15 to 30 full-time equivalent regular employees and/or contractors.
• Conduct interviews, hire, train, assign, direct, evaluate, reward, and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve issues.
• Kansas School Administration Certification is mandatory.
• Must be a resident of Kansas.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• A Master’s degree is necessary.
• A minimum of five (5) years of educational experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Ability to pass the required background check.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
• Familiarity with web technologies.
• Willingness to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, etc.
• Previous experience as an online educator is preferred.
• Prior administrative experience is also desired.
