This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.
• Request financial and ancillary data to refresh the bank’s credit records
• Analyze updated personal and business financial statements
• Carry out stand-alone and/or global cash flow assessments
• Draft annual servicing memoranda in accordance with established protocols
• Forward servicing memoranda and original credit approval documents to the SBA Credit Administrator
• Follow up on inquiries and unresolved matters with pertinent stakeholders
• Process risk-rating modifications via the bank’s tracking system
• Review the weekly SBA 7(A) loan delinquency report
• Maintain a monthly activity log for review by the SBA Credit Administrator and senior management
• Inform the SBA Credit Administrator about compliance with annual servicing metrics
• Support the SBA administrative team with tasks related to credit servicing memoranda
• Reconcile 1502 reports and keep the master servicing list up to date
• Complete CLAR loans biannually
• Conduct borrower site visits as necessary
• Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, code of conduct, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with staff and assist colleagues and clients
• Engage in marketing initiatives
• Execute other responsibilities as assigned by management
• Minimum of one year of experience in a relevant field
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting is preferred
• Familiarity with SBA SOPs
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Competent in using personal computers, Windows, and Microsoft software applications
• Ability to draft documents and write business letters and memoranda
• Strong understanding of business English, including spelling and punctuation
• Awareness of office practices, procedures, and general office equipment
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities
• Strong organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Effective listening and multitasking capabilities
• Capacity to perform well and maintain composure under stress
• Ability to address concerns of customers and colleagues
• Training in SouthState Bank credit policies, procedures, and underwriting standards
• Completion of annual regulatory and compliance training
• Secure home office setting for telecommuting positions
• Reliable private internet connection required; cable or fiber connections are preferred
