This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee the processes for managing government contracts, encompassing pre-contract activities through to final milestones and deliverables.
• Integrate AI-driven workflows into contract management and compliance procedures, minimizing manual reviews wherever feasible.
• Ensure government contract registration, reporting, and disclosures are accurately maintained within government platforms such as SAM.gov, PIEE, CPARS, and others.
• Support the negotiation and administration of agreements with customers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Provide initial support for contract-related inquiries from internal stakeholders; address questions from customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Track performance on complex government contracts, identifying and escalating any challenges that may jeopardize performance.
• Create and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, supporting federal business operations, including export control/OFAC and FAR/DFARS requirements.
• Collaborate with the Legal/GRC team across capture, revenue, and finance divisions to establish and maintain contract files, assist with government contract compliance, and develop workflows and processes to enhance efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Over 3 years of relevant experience (e.g., as a government contracting specialist or contracting officer, contracts manager at a defense contractor, or experience as a paralegal or in legal operations).
• Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and other agency-specific supplements.
• Familiarity with Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), GSA schedules, Government Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs), BPAs, and other multi-award contracting vehicles.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional projects.
• A demonstrated history of taking initiative and being resourceful to achieve ambitious objectives.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, basic statistics, and the ability to leverage data to inform decision-making.
• Interest in AI/ML, law, privacy, and cybersecurity.
• Experience with government acquisitions through Broad Agency Announcements, Commercial Solutions Openings, SBIR Phase 3, Consortiums, and other unique competitive and non-competitive government procurement methods.
• Knowledge of government contract and subcontract processes, including flow downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out, and records retention.
• Experience at a startup, defense contractor, or rapidly growing technology company.
• Experience in negotiating subcontracts on Federal programs.
• Active Security Clearance (or the capability to obtain one).
