Government Contracting Finance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in fulfilling the financial obligations associated with federal, state, local, and DOT contracts.

• Oversee the accounting for projects/jobs and the structure for labor charging.

• Ensure compliance with FAR Part 31 and AASHTO indirect-rate requirements.

• Develop pricing strategies, labor rates, indirect rates, and schedules for proposals.

• Analyze the financial stipulations of contracts, including billing and profitability assessments.

• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Legal, HR, and Pursuits teams.

• Provide support for competitive government procurement processes and finance-related inquiries throughout the sales cycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in supporting an organization that generates substantial revenue from government/B2G contracts is essential.

• Direct familiarity with the financial demands of competitive government procurement is required.

• A minimum of 7 years in finance related to government contracting or project accounting.

• Knowledge of FAR, AASHTO, state DOTs, or experience with government contractors is beneficial.

• Proficient in Excel and possess strong financial analysis capabilities.

• Hands-on and practical approach, comfortable working in a growing environment.

• Position is remote, with a strong preference for candidates located on the East Coast.
