This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.
• Interpret vague business requirements into precise, structured technical architectures.
• Create scalable, fault-tolerant, and maintainable systems based on distributed and microservice architectures.
• Make informed architectural decisions and provide rationale for trade-offs.
• Develop resilient versioned REST/gRPC API contracts ensuring backward compatibility.
• Design strategies for relational and non-relational data storage, including schema development and query optimization.
• Establish event-driven and asynchronous processes utilizing Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
• Foresee scalability and reliability challenges, considering load, failure scenarios, and observability.
• Generate architecture documentation such as ADRs, technical specifications, and diagrams.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to development teams on best practices, code quality, and Go idioms without direct management responsibilities.
• Articulate technical decisions and trade-offs to Product Owners, Solution Architects, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Assess technologies, tools, and frameworks to shape the team's technical roadmap.
• Maintain a balance between hands-on coding and architectural oversight.
• Over 7 years of comprehensive software development experience.
• 4 to 5+ years of practical, production-level experience with Go.
• Profound knowledge of goroutines, channels, context, memory model, and concurrency patterns.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, software development, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in working with AI and its implementation/configuration within a team setting.
• Background in fintech, banking, or other regulated/high-compliance industries.
• Experience in designing distributed, microservice-based, or high-load systems.
• Strong proficiency in REST and/or gRPC API design, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL/MySQL schema design, query optimization, and transactions.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS and event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and contemporary DevOps practices.
• Understanding of how to design scalable, fault-tolerant, secure, and observable systems.
• Experience conducting architecture reviews and producing ADRs and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication abilities for conveying architectural choices to both technical and business audiences.
• Availability to work from 9:00 to 18:00 CEST.
• Willingness to undertake a live Go coding task during the client interview.
