This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Implement Clear to Build transportation procedures and standard practices to effectively transport, monitor, expedite, and deliver parts that support engine assembly needs.
• Receive, analyze, and prioritize overnight handoffs, transforming them into a clear execution plan for the day.
• Oversee high-volume transportation activities and manage escalations effectively.
• Identify risks associated with inbound deliveries for both international and U.S. domestic shipments, collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate them.
• Act as a transportation escalation point for issues that impact material availability, build readiness, and the overall flow of the supply chain.
• Create logistics solutions to address urgent or non-standard transportation needs.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of customs regulations and work alongside customs and transportation teams to ensure compliant and efficient movement.
• Coordinate with transportation providers, sourcing and fulfillment teams, and receiving facilities.
• Collaborate with the Clear to Launch team on inbound and outbound priorities, handoffs, escalations, and transportation execution from start to finish.
• Utilize supplier performance metrics, operational data, and transportation visibility tools to identify shortcomings and enhance cycle time, service, quality, and premium transportation performance.
• Assist in process improvements while ensuring daily execution and service continuity.
• Leverage AI, analytics, digital tools, and automation to enhance decision-making, visibility, process discipline, data quality, continuous improvement, and cost efficiency.
• Promote transportation quality and enhance supplier performance by identifying recurring issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective measures.
• Advocate for compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, procedures, and EHS guidelines.
• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma/GED accompanied by a minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or material flow.
• At least 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or material flow, including direct responsibility for transportation planning and operational execution for international and domestic shipments.
• Experience in managing transportation suppliers within complex regional networks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders clearly, concisely, and urgently.
• Effective prioritization skills, with the capacity to manage multiple issues simultaneously and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to assimilate handoffs, interpret operational requirements, and organize work for efficient daily execution.
• Strong analytical skills and capability in process development.
• Familiarity with using data, metrics, and digital tools to monitor performance and pinpoint gaps.
• Working knowledge of customs processes and documentation related to international transportation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other digital tools that support logistics operations.
• An operational mindset that emphasizes execution, responsiveness, and resolution.
• Ability to excel in a high-intensity, high-volume, rapid-response setting.
• Customer-centric and action-oriented, balancing urgency, compliance, service, and cost considerations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, including recognizing patterns, escalating risks, and facilitating corrective actions.
• Excellent organizational skills and discipline in managing conflicting priorities.
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement.
