Global Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the lead Solutions Engineer for Sophos’ global MSSP program and strategic partnership initiatives.

• Facilitate technical discovery sessions, solution design, architecture workshops, demonstrations, and proofs of value with MSSP partners.

• Assist partners in designing and scaling managed security services utilizing Sophos Fusion and the wider Sophos cybersecurity suite.

• Provide guidance to partners on service architecture, integrations, automation, operational readiness, and consistent service delivery.

• Serve as a global expert on Sophos AI security solutions, including AI Defense and forthcoming AI innovations.

• Conduct demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of value focusing on AI security risks and solutions.

• Develop practical AI security demonstrations, lab settings, attack simulations, and repeatable technical evaluation techniques.

• Share insights from the field and market with Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, and go-to-market teams.

• Produce reusable technical resources, enablement materials, service blueprints, and best practices ready for the field.

• Mentor Sales Engineers, partner engineers, and other technical stakeholders.

• Represent Sophos at customer briefings, partner events, webinars, technical communities, and industry forums.

• Establish trusted-advisor relationships with partners, customers, security leaders, and technical decision-makers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Security Architecture, security consulting, MSSP engineering, or a comparable customer-facing cybersecurity position.

• Proven experience in supporting MSSP sales, partner interactions, service architecture, or the development of managed security services.

• Extensive knowledge of MDR, XDR, SIEM, SOAR, endpoint security, cloud security, threat detection, incident response, and security integrations.

• Profound understanding of MSSP business and technical frameworks.

• Strong grasp of artificial intelligence, generative AI systems, AI application architectures, and AI security challenges.

• Practical experience in deploying, configuring, integrating, operating, and troubleshooting cybersecurity products and tools.

• Experience in creating labs, demonstrations, workshops, proofs of value, and technical validation environments.

• Capability to work with APIs, automation, cloud platforms, modern application architectures, Linux and Windows environments, networking, identity systems, and security telemetry.

• Excellent skills in technical discovery, consultative selling, presentations, storytelling, demonstrations, and written communication.

• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional technical projects across multiple regions.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across North America and internationally.
